Our Story -                   

Hare Creek Nursery & Power Equipment Inc. 

Sandy Babcock decided to go out on her own and open Hare Creek Nursery in 1977.  She built it from the ground up, literally.  It was a local hot spot.

In 1994 Harry Babcock, Sandy’s brother decided to ‘retire’ from the woods as a logger and go into retail, opening Hare Creek Saw Shop.  The two businesses ran side by side for 8 years.  In 2002 the businesses merged to form what is now Hare Creek Nursery & Power Equipment, Inc.  

In 2007 Harry’s daughter and her husband, Kyle Fairall moved home and Kyle bought the business.  After six prosperous years, they have decided to have a career change back to what Kyle had studied in college.  

June, 2013,  Harry’s other daughter and her husband decided to join in the family tradition and purchase the business.  Steve will be running the shop on a daily basis while Kathy continues to have a day job of bookkeeping and taxes while handling the business finances from home at odd hours. And you will see Jacob and Ryan from time to time working around Hare Creek Nursery & Power.  

While things may be different, one thing will remain the same: Hare Creek will provide great products and service to the coast.  Stop in and see the new  and veteran faces!
